SYNOPSIS:
Set in the 19th Century Canadian prairie, Maggie McGregor and younger sister Rose endure the harsh labour of running their farm. Since the death of their parents, Maggie’s has brought up Surviving by living off the land. Sheltered by Maggie, Rose, just 14, maintains innocence of youth. When a charming but mysterious stranger, David LaTouche, arrives at their isolated farm the sisters’ lives are forever changed. Overriding Maggie’s objections with his charm, David is permitted to stay. Questions emerge about David’s past and his intentions.
